Our Maine Coon Cats

Our breeding cats are not kept separately from the household. They live with us as pets first, and the kittens are raised in the same rooms we live in.

Our adult Maine Coons

Individual profiles for each of our cats, with photos, colour and pattern, and their health testing results, are added here. If a profile you want to see is not up yet, ask us and we will send the details directly.

Health testing

We screen our breeding cats for the conditions that matter in this breed. If you ask to see the results, we will show you. We think you should ask this of every breeder you talk to, not just us.

It is the most useful question a buyer can ask, and the answer tells you a lot about how a cattery is run.

How we raise them

How we plan litters

We plan each litter around the parents health and temperament, not around demand. We do not breed a female more often than her body can handle, which is why we only have a few litters a year and why waits are normal.

Where they live

Mothers have their litters in a quiet nursery room. At around four weeks the kittens start exploring the rest of the house, and by eight weeks they are climbing cat trees, using the litter box and following us into the kitchen. Our adult cats help socialise them, which is a large part of why our kittens settle so easily.

Retired cats

When one of our cats retires from breeding, she stays with us or goes to a carefully chosen home as a spayed pet. She does not disappear.
