How to Reserve a Maine Coon Kitten

Reserving a Maine Coon kitten with us takes four steps. Nothing is rushed, and you will have read the contract before any money changes hands.

The four steps

You will know what happens next at every stage, and nothing is signed or paid until you have read it.

  1. Send an inquiry

Tell us a little about your home and which kitten or litter you are interested in. Useful things to mention: whether you have other pets, whether there are young children, and whether anyone is home during the day. Maine Coons like company, so that last one matters more than people expect.

  2. Talk with us

We will set up a call or a video chat. You can meet the kittens on camera, ask about the parents, and ask what they have been tested for. We will ask you questions too. This is the step where both sides work out whether it is a good fit.

  3. Place a deposit

A deposit holds your kitten and takes them off the available list. You will read the written sales contract and the reservation policy before you pay, not after. If anything in it is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.

  4. Pickup day

Kittens go home at 12 weeks or older. We plan the day well in advance so it suits you. Your kitten leaves with vet records, a few days of the food they are already eating, and a folder of feeding and care notes.

Before pickup day, have these ready

None of it is expensive, and having it waiting means the first evening is about your kitten rather than a trip to the pet shop.

Questions people ask at this stage

Can I visit in person

Visits are by appointment. We do not have open hours, because a constant stream of visitors is stressful for a nursing mother and her litter.

What if I change my mind

Read the reservation policy before you pay. It sets out exactly what happens to a deposit in that situation, so there are no surprises.

Do you ship kittens

Ask us. How a kitten travels is something we decide case by case, and we will tell you honestly what we are and are not willing to do.
